Surprise! It's another year! 2019 started with me looking for a new job as my job was cut to due to budget restrictions. I am trying to remain positive about finding a job that was as good a fit for me as my previous job, but I am finding out that in spite of all the available jobs out there, it isn't that easy to land one.
I have found my self working on UFOs (Unfinished Objects such as sewing and knitting projects that have waited for me to find the time). At first, I was excited about having all this time on my hands, but now that I have time on my hands I don't have the money to spend to complete my sewing projects in a first-class way. Great.
Then there is Elsie and her medical treatment several times a month. When we went to the vet on the 2nd of this month, Elsie was no longer in remission and her Prednisone was doubled. She weighed in at 95 pounds which is a lot for a female Giant Schnauzer. She now gets pills three times daily. Her food intake has been cut back to 4 cups of dog food (do you know how pesty a 95-pound Giant can be when she thinks she is starving to death???). She can have green beans, broccoli, and/or brussels sprouts but not all in the same day. They are to be used as fillers to make her think she has been fed. But oh! the gas!!!
My old job was perfect for running Elsie twice a month to her specialist in Fishers. How will a new job allow me to run Elsie for her medical care? I really need a job to help pay for her care as it isn't cheap and neither is the gas money to get there. I'm sure it will all work out as it is meant to be. Keep us in your prayers.
