On their first date, which is made by Melissa, they go to a planetarium. As they are looking at the ceiling, Melissa points out the Milky Way Galaxy and tells Jeremy the earth is part of the Milky Way Galaxy and has about 2 billion stars. Then she points out the Andromeda Galaxy and tells him there are approximately a trillion stars there. Then she quietly states, "...and the God that created them all knows me by name."
That really shook me! Have you ever thought about all the billions of people that have lived on the earth, He knows every one of us by name. How great a man that He can remember each and every one of His creation by name. We are His children and I am sure that when He calls us He won't start with the oldest child and call each name until He gets to the child He intended to call. He will speak our name outright and we will recognize Him as our Father. But He knows our name!
I am still astounded by that thought and will continue to marvel over this thought of how great a Creator we have that he has no memory issues and doesn't age. Each of us will meet Him someday. I hope I am ready
